KUMARUARA AMAZONIAN ART
Ancestry, identity, and living memory.
Born in the heart of the Amazon, the Aro de Fogo necklace is a unique piece of ethno-biojewelry. Handwoven through an intricate weave in fire tones, this design pays homage to the sacred symmetries and the symbolic strength of the Amazonian territory.
This piece was created by the Kumaruara Tribe from the Muruari village, in the Lower Tapajós, Amazonas. Each woven pattern transforms the material into a vessel of memory, spirituality, and deep connection with the rainforest.
More than a ceremonial jewel, the Aro de Fogo is a living manifesto. Just as the bat disperses the cumaru seed through the jungle to sustain the ecosystem, this piece carries with it a message of strength, resilience, and identity of the indigenous peoples. A one-of-a-kind work of art designed to adorn the body with belonging and rooted heritage.
