KUMARUARA AMAZONIAN ART
Ancestry, identity, and living memory.
The Manto Dourado necklace stands out for its imposing chest structure in a vibrant contrast of sun yellow and black. Its hand-woven design unfolds in concentric fringes that radiate from the neck, simulating a ceremonial glow that dresses the chest with magnetism and warmth.
This piece was created by the Kumaruara Tribe of the Muruari village, in the Lower Tapajós, Amazon. Each stroke transforms the material into a canvas of memory, spirituality, and deep connection with the forest.
With an enveloping drape and an adjustable cord that adapts to the body's posture, Manto Dourado is a manifesto of light, strength, and resistance of the native Amazonian culture.
